I am a Taipei, Taiwan-based photographer, previously based in New York City, where I first began to explore the streets with my camera. My work is rooted in a fascination with everyday life and the intersections of people and place that might otherwise go unnoticed.
I believe photography is the only medium that can hold a moment in time. No scene ever repeats itself in quite the same way: light shifts, people move, and the rhythm of a place is always in flux. Now using a mix of film (35mm and 120mm) and digital photography, I try to preserve these fleeting intersections of chance and presence.
My photographs were commissioned by NYC Tourism, New York City’s official destination marketing organization, for its global campaign True York City. The campaign included advertisements and promotion around the world to showcase the unique culture produced by the 8.5 million residents of New York City’s five boroughs. My work has also been featured in Shoot It With Film, in zines and shows with the NYC Street Photography Collective, and exhibited at Photoville in Brooklyn.
Today, I continue to pursue both personal and commissioned commercial and editorial projects.
